Yard Operative – Coventry, West Midlands – £12.72–£15.90 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Yard Operatives to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, Monday to Friday working, a choice of AM or PM shifts, weekly pay and opportunities for growth and progression.

£12.72–£15.90 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | AM & PM Shifts | Weekly Pay | No Weekends | Overtime Available

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative, Order Picker, General Operative or PPT Operative.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • AM Shift: 06:00–14:00
 • PM Shift: 14:00–22:00
 • No weekend working

Rates of Pay

 • AM Shift: £12.72 per hour
 • PM Shift: £15.90 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Yard Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Picking and packing orders accurately
 • Operating LLOP and PPT trucks
 • Receiving goods in and checking deliveries
 • Picking items using a voice-activated picking system
 • Carrying out general warehouse duties
 • Stacking and wrapping pallets ready for dispatch
 • Undertaking heavy lifting duties as required

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Yard Operative, you will need:

 • Basic level of spoken and written English
 • Reliable and punctual approach to work
 • Good communication skills
 • Ability to carry out physically demanding duties involving heavy lifting and carrying

Desirable Experience

 • Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training is provided

Training Provided

 • Full site training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
