Van Driver – Nether Heyford, Northamptonshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Nether Heyford, Northamptonshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering good rates of pay, ongoing work, and the chance to progress with a well-established company.

This position would suit applicants who have worked in a role as a Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or Courier Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Working three to five days between Monday and Saturday
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Van Driver are:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries of white goods
• Carrying out manual handling duties, including heavy lifting
• Working as part of a two-person delivery team
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured safely
• Adhering to all UK traffic laws and regulations
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• Full UK Category B Driving Licence
• A minimum of twelve months’ experience driving Category B vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Good knowledge of the UK road network
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Comfortable carrying out heavy lifting duties
• Good customer service skills

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout employment
