People Solutions are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to join our well-established client based in Motherwell.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for progression with a well-established employer.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Home Delivery Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver or Commercial Driver.

This role is ongoing for the right candidate.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Completing residential multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently
  • Delivering products to customers’ room of choice
  • Working alongside a Driver’s Mate or second driver where required for two-person lifts
  • Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Completing all deliveries within scheduled timeframes while following health and safety procedures
  • Carrying out general warehouse duties when required
  • Inputting and processing customer orders using company computer systems
  • Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
  • A minimum of one year’s experience driving 3.5-tonne vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10 or DD10 endorsements)
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
  • The ability to carry out manual handling duties and two-person deliveries

Desirable Experience

  • At least 12 months’ multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience working within a fast-paced home delivery or logistics environment
  • Previous customer-facing delivery experience

Training Provided

  • Paid site induction and assessment prior to starting
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
