Van Driver – Coatbridge

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, a guaranteed minimum of eight hours paid per day, regular ongoing work, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or Courier Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.31 per hour for the first 9.6 hours worked
• £19.29 per hour overtime rate after 9.6 hours worked
• Saturday: £19.96 per hour
• Sunday: £21.29 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £25.28 per hour
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours paid per day

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Van Driver are:

• Driving company vans safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Manual handling, including lifting and moving goods
• Supporting with warehouse duties and stock movements when required
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
• Previous van driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No DR or DD convictions due to insurance restrictions
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties
• A reliable and punctual approach to work

Training:

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Experience working in a driver/warehouse role would be advantageous but is not essential
