VAN DELIVERY DRIVER – CRAWLEY

At People Solutions, we are partnering with a well-established logistics business in Crawley to find reliable, professional Van Delivery Drivers.

This role would suit applications who have worked in a role as a 3.5 Tonne Drivers, Delivery Driver or Courier Drivers. If you love being out on the road, meeting customers, and want a role that respects your work-life balance, we want to hear from you.

Rates of Pay:

• £14.00 – £15.00 per hour
• Performance-boosting bonus scheme
• Weekly PAYE pay
• Holiday pay accrued separately

Shift Pattern:

As a Van Delivery Driver, you will work:

• Monday to Friday
• Shifts typically run between 5 and 10 hours per day
• Weekly rota provided in advance
• No weekend work

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Van Delivery Driver are:

• Safely loading your van at the start of your shift
• Inspecting your vehicle to ensure it is road-ready
• Driving safely and efficiently across local routes while adhering to traffic laws
• Delivering goods safely to clients
• Providing a helpful and friendly service to customers
• Unloading any returns
• Accurately completing paperwork and delivery records
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Van Delivery Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least one year
• To be aged 21 or over for vehicle insurance purposes
• A clean driving record with a maximum of 6 penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements
• The physical fitness to undertake manual loading and heavy lifting
• Great communication skills
• A punctual and professional attitude
• A reliable and customer-focused approach

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience
• Warehouse or logistics experience

Training:

• Fully paid site induction
• Three paid training shifts alongside an experienced driver
• Ongoing support and development
• Training on company procedures and delivery processes
