Quality Control Inspector – Swindon

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our well-established client based in Swindon on a 3-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and the opportunity to develop your skills within a reputable manufacturing business.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Quality Inspector, Quality Control Inspector or Quality Assurance Inspector.

Rates of Pay:

  • £15.00 – £16.00 per hour depending on experience

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30 – 17:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Quality Control Inspector are:

  • Performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on components and finished products
  • Using inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and go/no-go gauges
  • Completing inspection records, batch records, and Device History Records (DHRs) accurately
  • Verifying production paperwork and maintaining full product traceability
  • Ensuring manufacturing processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485 requirements
  • Identifying defects and non-conforming products and ensuring they are quarantined appropriately
  • Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions where required
  • Working within controlled and cleanroom environments whilst adhering to contamination-control procedures
  • Maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Quality Control Inspector, you will need:

  • The ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and work instructions
  • Competent use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and go/no-go gauges
  • Understanding of quality systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, ISO 13485 requirements
  • Familiarity with sampling plans and acceptance criteria such as AQL
  • Experience completing inspection records, batch records, and Device History Records accurately
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
