MIG Welder – Warrington

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our client based in Appleton Thorn, Warrington. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Welder, Fabrication Welder, or Metal Worker and are looking to further their career within a manufacturing setting.

Please note: Due to the location of the site, you must have your own transport.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.44 per hour
• Day shift rate

Shift Pattern:

As a MIG Welder, you will work:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
• Friday: 07:00 – 12:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a MIG Welder are:

• Setting up components and equipment for the welding process in line with job cards
• Preparing materials and setting up jigs to ensure safe and effective assembly
• Reading and interpreting specifications and technical drawings to ensure products are manufactured within tolerance
• MIG welding mild and stainless steel
• Maintaining housekeeping standards, including clean-as-you-go practices
• Working to 5S principles where applicable

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a MIG Welder, you will need:

• Previous MIG welding experience
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good dexterity and strong practical skills
• A logical and methodical approach to work
• Computer literacy and confidence using IT systems within a manufacturing environment
• A positive attitude towards work, colleagues, and management

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your employment
