HGV Class 2 Driver – Widnes

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver, to join our well-established client based in Widnes, Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, Monday to Friday working, and long-term stability with a leading company in the industry.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.90 per hour Monday to Friday
• £19.79 per hour after 42 hours (overtime)
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

Your shift pattern as an HGV Class 2 Driver will be:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 4:00am and 7:00am

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing between 5 and 12 deliveries to stores across the UK each day
• Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperatures and remain safe and secure throughout transit
• Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering products into stores
• Completing all required paperwork accurately and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times
• Following all company policies and health and safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of 24 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles
• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes
• No major endorsement codes
• Strong customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• A professional and reliable approach to work

Training:

• First-day driving assessment
• Training provided as and when required
• Ongoing industry-related training and support
