HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client’s growing transport operation in Normanton and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shift Pattern: 24-hour operation – various shifts available – You will need to be flexible to work both Days and Nights  

Pay Rate: £16.90 – £27.79 per hour 

Days Monday – Friday = £16.90, OT over 42 hours = £24.90

Nights Sunday – Thursday = £19.79, OT after 42 hours = £27.79

Day-to-Day Duties

• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Complete cage deliveries to NHS sites 
• Complete loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management
• Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of road safety and compliance
• Must undergo a DBS Check 

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Good customer interaction and service skills

Training

• Full paid Induction prior to first shift 
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
