HGV Class 2 Driver – Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours’ pay per shift, and genuine opportunities to secure a permanent position.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay: £16.25 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 01:30 – 04:30

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Completing two to five drops per day
• Delivering roller cages and totes
• Operating a tail lift
• Assisting with handballing when required
• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Completing any necessary paperwork

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• To be comfortable with early starts
• A minimum of twelve months’ previous Class 2 driving experience
• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major endorsement codes

Training:

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
