Van Driver – Stoke-on-Trent (ST7 1UH)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to join our well-established client based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST7 1UH).

£14.76 Per Hour | £19.68 After 48 Hours | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Paid Training | Company Van Provided | Immediate Starts

This position is ideal for applicants who have previous experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Delivery Driver, Courier Driver or Pharmaceutical Delivery Driver.

Please note: Applicants must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes, have previous van or courier driving experience and be available to work every Saturday.

Shifts

 • Monday to Saturday
 • Must be available to work every Saturday
 • Monday to Friday start times between 6:45am and 7:15am, depending on route
 • Shifts of up to 12 hours, including breaks

Rates of Pay

 • £14.76 per hour
 • £19.68 per hour after 48 hours worked
 • Weekly PAYE pay
 • Holiday pay accrued separately

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include:

 • Loading your own vehicle each morning, including full van loads
 • Completing multi-drop deliveries to pharmacies, doctors’ surgeries and hospitals
 • Carrying out approximately 30–40 deliveries per day, depending on the route
 • Handling high-value medical products and equipment safely
 • Delivering temperature-controlled products following the required procedures
 • Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with customers
 • Reporting vehicle defects or issues promptly
 • Following all road safety, delivery and company procedures

Essential Skills

 • Valid UK Category B driving licence
 • Previous van driving, multi-drop or courier experience is essential
 • Must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes
 • No more than six penalty points on your driving licence
 • If you have six points, at least three must be due to expire within the next six months
 • Must live within 10 miles of ST7 1UH
 • Must be available to work every Saturday
 • Physically capable of loading a full van and completing a demanding delivery route
 • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
 • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

Training Provided

 • Initial assessment, including scenario-based theory questions and a practical driving test
 • Paid training covering delivery procedures and temperature-controlled products
 • Ongoing training and support throughout your assignment
