Production Team Leader – Irlam
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join our well-established client based in Irlam.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, a structured rotating shift pattern, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This would suit applicants who have worked as a Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Operations Team Leader.
Rates of Pay:
- £16.67 per hour
- £17.99 per hour
Shift Pattern:
- Rotating 3-shift pattern
- Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:00
- Monday to Friday: 14:00 – 22:00
- Sunday to Thursday: 22:00 – 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Production Team Leader are:
- Managing a production cell of up to eight operatives
- Organising workloads to ensure the order book is completed in the most efficient manner
- Monitoring production cell output on an hourly basis
- Completing production figures and updating production boards
- Checking health and safety log books daily
- Training and developing production operatives as required
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the department
- Completing all relevant production and compliance paperwork
- Auditing processes to ensure adherence to procedures and standards
- Supporting operational efficiency and driving performance improvements
- Promoting company values and leading by example at all times
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Production Team Leader, you will need:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within a 24/7 production facility
- Previous experience managing or supervising production operatives
- A proven track record within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to make informed decisions in a demanding production environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- The ability to build effective internal and external working relationships
- A flexible approach to work to ensure production requirements are met
- Knowledge of manufacturing materials and production processes
