HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver – Warrington
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed minimum shift pay, night out allowance, and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.
This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Rates of Pay:
- £200.00 per shift (10-hour night shift)
- £25.00 night out allowance per night
- Weekly pay
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday tramping
- PM start times between 17:00 and 21:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver are:
- Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing trunking, drop and swap duties
- Operating curtain-sided vehicles
- Securing loads using straps where required
- Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
- Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues where necessary
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations
- Staying overnight in the vehicle during tramping assignments
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will need:
- A minimum of three months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience
- A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- A valid Driver CPC Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- A flexible approach to overnight tramping work
Training:
- First-day assessment
- Industry-related training provided
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
