Yard Operative – Coventry

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Yard Operatives to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

This position will suit applicants looking for a role as an Order Picker, Yard Operative or General Operative.

Shifts: Monday – Friday: 6.00am – 2.00pm

Rates of Pay: £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Yard Operative / Yard Operative will be:

 • Picking and packing orders accurately
 • Operating LLOP and PPT trucks
 • Receiving goods in and checking deliveries
 • Picking items using a voice-activated pick system
 • General warehouse duties
 • Stacking and wrapping pallets ready for dispatch
 • Heavy lifting involved

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be a Yard Operative / Yard Operative will be:

• Basic level of English (spoken and written)
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication skills
• Reasonably physically fit as heavy lifting and carrying involved

Desirable Experience:

 • Previous warehouse experience (not essential as full training is provided)

Training:

 • Full site training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
