Loader & Unloader – Severn Beach

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Loader & Unloader to join our well-established client based in Severn Beach.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and opportunities for career progression.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Warehouse Loader, Container Loader or Goods In Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.14 per hour
• Overtime paid at £19.71 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 17:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Loader & Unloader are:

• Loading stock in an organised and safe manner
• Unloading incoming deliveries and new stock
• Carrying out visual quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods
• Receiving and unpacking incoming deliveries
• Following health and safety guidelines for manual handling and loading activities
• Checking deliveries against stock lists and delivery documentation
• Transporting stock to the correct warehouse locations and departments
• Conducting stock counts and recording information accurately
• Sorting and organising stock within the warehouse
• Assisting with general housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Loader & Unloader, you will need:

• Good communication skills and the ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Previous loading and unloading experience
• Good organisational skills
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping
• A good level of physical fitness
• A flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake a variety of duties
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience working within a warehouse environment
• Experience with manual handling duties
• Experience working within a fast-paced logistics or distribution operation
• Own transport due to the location of the site being beneficial

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
