Pallet Maker

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Pallet Maker to join our well-established client based in Wednesbury, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great benefits and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Wood Machine Operative, Wood Production Operative or Saw Operative.

Shifts: Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 4.30pm

Pay rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Pallet Maker, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  •  Setting up and running machines to ensure optimum efficiency (full training provided)
  •  Using hand tools, including nail guns, drilling and sanding
  •  Assembling parts using nail guns 
  •  Performing checks against instructions to ensure product quality and conformity
  •  Carrying out regular quality inspections and correcting issues immediately
  •  Ensuring adequate stock of raw materials to maintain productivity
  •  Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Pallet Maker, you will need:

  •  Confidence using hand tools
  •  Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  •  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Comfortable working in a manual, workshop environment
  •  Willingness to learn new skills and processes

Training Provided

  •  Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
