General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter (CSCS Card) – Based in Tewkesbury

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter (CSCS Card) to join our well-established client.

The company’s head office is based in Tewkesbury and attendance is only required once or twice per week, meaning you do not need to live in the immediate area. The remainder of the role involves travelling to sites across the UK.

This role would be suitable for candidates with experience as a General Labourer, Retail Shop Fitter or POS Installer.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.50 – £15.00 per hour
• Night shift bonus
• Overtime paid at 1.5x rate after 12 weeks

Shift Pattern:

• Various days and nights between Monday and Sunday
• Minimum 39 hours per week
• Non-standard shift patterns, including nights out and weekend working
• UK-wide travel required
• Occasional overseas travel may be required

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter, you will work:

• Installing retail fixtures and equipment to client specifications
• Completing installations independently and as part of a team
• Working from technical drawings, plans and site diagrams
• Conducting site surveys where required
• Completing installation and site documentation accurately
• Loading and unloading products and equipment safely
• Ensuring materials are secured and protected during transportation
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Travelling to customer sites across the UK
• Working away from home when required
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health and safety compliance

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter, you will need:

• A valid Green CSCS Card
• Previous experience as a Fitter, Installer, Shop Fitter or General Labourer
• Understanding of health and safety requirements within installation environments
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Good practical skills and hand-to-eye coordination
• A full UK driving licence with no more than nine penalty points
• A valid passport and willingness to travel
• Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience as a POS Fitter, Retail Fitter or Shop Fitter
• Experience within the retail installation industry
• Experience working on customer sites nationwide

Training:

• Full training provided on company policies and procedures
• Ongoing support and development
