HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – BELLSHILL – NEW PASSES WELCOME

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bellshill.

Earn £14.41 per hour Days | £16.50 per hour Nights | 4 On 4 Off | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Temp to Perm Opportunities | Training Provided

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, Trunk Driver, Trunking Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Driver.

Shifts

  • 4 On 4 Off
  • Day Shifts – Start Times Between 06:00 – 10:00
  • 12-Hour Shifts

Days

  • £14.41 per hour

Nights

  • £16.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Completing depot-to-depot trunking, trailer swaps and deliveries to shops and depots
  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before transport
  • Adhering to road traffic legislation, company procedures and delivery schedules
  • Completing all relevant delivery paperwork accurately
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
  • A valid UK CPC Qualification Card
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  • Good spoken and written English
  • A reliable, professional and punctual approach to work

Desirable Experience

  • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience

Training Provided

  • Driver assessment required prior to starting
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
