HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – Daventry – Earn up to £23.00 per hour | Weekly Pay | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities | Immediate Starts | Newer Passes Welcome (6 Months’ Experience)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, immediate starts, and genuine temp-to-permanent opportunities with a well-established logistics business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, C+E Driver, Store Delivery Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, HGV Driver or Commercial Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Sunday
 • Start times between 03:00 – 12:00
 • Weekend work available

Rates of Pay

 • Monday to Friday – £19.00 per hour
 • Saturday – £20.00 per hour
 • Sunday – £23.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

 • Completing Store Deliveries.
 • Unloading pallets of stock and delivering them into the store.
 • Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
 • Ensuring loads are secure and compliant
 • Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently
 • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence
 • Minimum 6 Months Class 1 driving experience
 • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
 • Good communication skills
 • Professional and reliable approach to work

Desirable Experience

•  Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
•  Experience working within a fast-paced transport or logistics operation

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
