Warehouse Operative – Livingston

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Livingston.

This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking and reliable individuals looking for ad hoc work, with full-time hours available when required.

This role may be suitable for candidates with experience as a Warehouse Assistant, Removal Operative or Production Operative.

Shift Pattern:

• Any five days from six (Monday to Saturday)
• 08:00 to 17:00
• No Sunday working

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• Loading, unloading and moving sofas, furniture and flooring throughout the warehouse
• Wrapping and preparing products for dispatch
• Supporting the recycling operation by operating cardboard balers and disposing of packaging materials
• Sorting and removing cardboard, plastic and other recyclable waste
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Supporting colleagues across different departments to meet daily operational requirements

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be successful as a Warehouse Operative are:

• Comfortable with manual handling duties throughout the shift
• Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of warehouse duties
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Willing to contribute within a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Good communication skills

Desirable Experience:

Previous experience as a Removal Operative would be beneficial, although not essential.

Training:

• Full training provided
• Ongoing support and development
